Saoirse Ronan's Biography

Saoirse Ronan was born in Ardattin, the Republic of Ireland on April 12th, 1994 and is currently 13-years-old. She resides in Co Carlow, Ireland with her parents, Monica and Paul Ronan and her border-collie, Sassy. Her father Paul Ronan is also an actor so she is following her dad's footsteps. Saoirse attends school in Ardattin, where she was born.

This young, talented actress got her start in Irish the television series' The Clinic and Proof before getting into the Hollywood. Her first big-screen gig came in 2007, when she booked a small supporting role as Izzie in the Amy Heckerling's romantic-comedy I Could Never Be Your Woman starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Paul Rudd. However, it was her casting as the ill-fated adolescent girl in Peter Jackson's 2008 adapatation of Alice Sebold's acclaimed novel The Lovely Bones that officially put Ronan on Tinsel Town's map. Saoirse plays Susie Salmon, a young girl who was brutally raped and murdered and who watches her family from the Heaven. The Lovely Bones is starring Susan Sarandon, Ryan Gosling, Rachel Weisz and loads of else.

Our dear girl has an amazing singing voice and she is brilliant with different accents. Saoirse has also filmed a movie with Keira Knightley, who plays her big sister in the Atonement movie.
