Lisa Smit's Biography
Lisa Smit is a versatile young actress who has already been compared to Jessica Lange (by director Patrice Toye) and Brigitte Bardot (by cinematographer Bert Pot). Lisa acted for the first time in Gezocht: Man (2005) (TV). She then played a small part in Burgers/Reizigers (2005) (TV), directed by Janice Pierre, followed by a supporting role in "Niggaz of La Rouge" (2005), directed by Robert van Laar. She played her first leading role in another 2005 film: Liefs uit de Linnaeusstraat (2005) ("From Linnaeusstraat with Love"), directed by Barbara Bredero. From 7 December 2005 Lisa could be seen as Liselore in "De Griezelbus", directed by Pieter Kuijpers (Van God Los (2003)) and based on the famous books by Paul van Loon. The movie was a sizable success with 225.000 admissions and a box office of over 1,3 million Eur's. In 2006 Lisa played a supporting role in Leyla Everaers' student film "Tyger", appeared fleetingly in Kate Brown's TV-film "Absolutely Positive" and was a guest star on police-series "Boks" before landing a leading role in VPRO's youth-series "Willemspark", a comedy that chronicles the stressful life of four kids from the rich part of Amsterdam.
