Courtney Jines's Biography

Courtney is a “lifelong actress” who has been acting professionally since the age of 6. She began her career with the film Drop Back Ten starring James LeGros and Josh Lucas. She then went on to star in the Barcelona-based film Gaudi Afternoon with Marcia Gay Harden, Judy Davis, Juliette Lewis and Lili Taylor. Red Betsy, was her third film also featuring Chad Lowe, Lois Smith and Alison Elliott. In 2003  she was absolutely thrilled to learn that she had landed the part of “Demetra” in Robert Rodriguez’s last installment of his wildly successful Spy Kids series. Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over was her first experience on a green screen and doing her own stunts.  Later that year Courtney was privileged to work with Eva Marie Saint, Cicely Tyson, Jeff Daniels, Dave Matthews and director Wayne Wang in the film Because of Winn Dixie.
Courtney’s television appearances include, ER, Third Watch, and Law and Order: Special Victim’s Unit all on NBC. She also appeared on ABC’s short-lived That Was Then. Most recently she appeared on WB's critically acclaimed Jack & Bobby.  Her most touted guest appearance however was her portrayal of a “sweet girl turned cold blooded murderer” on hit CBS series CSI.

Courtney also starred in the PAX television movie Anna’s Dream about the effects on a family when one member is paralyzed in a gymnastics accident. She worked alongside Richard Thomas and Connie Sellecca on this project.

Not content to only act, Courtney is a gifted writer and has already completed several short scripts. She also frequently grabs the family video camera and directs impromptu “shorts” starring various family and friends.

In addition to acting she enjoys singing, dancing, and, ice skating. She also loves to shop, like most other teenage girls!  She is very passionate about animals and has several pets.  Courtney is very proud of her association with Special Olympics, where she serves as a coach
