Summary
When 11 year olds, Julia and Martin, meet in the Stockholm airport, they feel as if they are looking into the mirror. Julia and Martin decide they are two pieces of broken glass, cosmic twins, and decide to play a trick on their divorced, estranged parents by switching places. Martin, a quiet piano player suddenly finds himself in a frilly dress with a pro-wrestling stepfather. Julia, a tough city girl finds herself in a peaceful rural haven where she must cope with extended relatives and a fathers lady friend. In trading identities, Julia and Martin find themselves in endless comic situations. But they also gain new perspectives on their own lives and problems.
Movie Reviews
Very funny movie, for both kids and parents., 21 September 2005Author: ALIPTES from IMDb
This one brings back memories of classics like The Parent Trap, with a
gender twist. Amanda Davin plays Martin and Julia, both from broken
families and decide to swap lives. It's a funny, entertaining movie
with some really funny moments. Especially the wedding scenes are
particularly funny. Martin's huge grandmother is hilarious.
Amanda does a very good acting job playing a girl and a boy, very
distinctively. I also liked the refreshing music, and production design
is great.
This has lots of international potential, for a Scandinavian movie. It
tells a universal story - if you get the chance, possibly with your
kids - go see it.
